Hello! I’m Megan and I am so proud to be a part of this incredible group. My husband, Will, and I have one daughter, Brooklyn, who joined us in 2016, and is already growing up way too fast! The transition into motherhood was rough for me at times. As someone who has been active my entire life, I struggled to find the right activity for my postpartum body (and mind!). I’ll never forget the day that Stroller Strides came and did a demo for our new mom’s group at the hospital – I knew right away that this group was different. I signed up for Stroller Strides in hopes of someday returning to the active lifestyle that I was so accustomed to before. What I found though, in addition to challenging workouts where I could have my baby by my side, was a community of support where I could struggle, I could modify, I could ease my way back into shape without ever feeling judged or out of place. I found the most supportive, kind, empowering group of mamas, with whom I have created some true friendships. Fit4Mom has truly changed my life in more ways than I could have imagined, and I am so lucky to now be able to provide that support to other moms.
As a Colorado native, I have been active my entire life. I love Colorado and everything it has to offer, I feel so lucky to call it home! I am a lifelong equestrian, having fallen in love with show jumping at a very young age and competed for over 25 years. I’m hopeful that it’s something I can share with my little one someday, just as my mom did with me. I also enjoy running, biking, skiing, and spending time with family, friends, and our 4-legged fur babies (dogs & horses). As a former IT professional, becoming a Fit4Mom instructor was definitely a change of pace for me, but I believe it is truly where I am supposed to be. I feel so fortunate to be a part of such an amazing organization and unbelievable team, who work together every day to make the lives of moms everywhere just a little bit better, even if only for a few minutes a day. Motherhood is difficult, and we mamas need each other!
I am certified in Stroller Strides, Fit4Baby, Body Back, Stroller Barre, and Run Club. I am beyond excited to be able to share these awesome programs with all of you mamas out there!more
Hi everyone! My name is Holly, and I’ve been a part of this amazing community for a year & a half now, while most of it being pregnant! I’m a Colorado native, military wife, and new mom to my first baby girl, Harper. In my spare time as a mom- (no such thing, haha!) you will find me taking long walks with my family, cooking in kitchen, painting a room in my house, or at Target. Mostly at Target.
My Fit4Mom story is unique. I found Fit4Mom during my search of fitness and moms within our community as I was just getting certified as a trainer with women’s fitness being a passion of mine. During that time, I was trying to get pregnant, and I was looking for a community I could be apart of before I was pregnant due to limited family support. Fit4Mom seemed like a good fit, so I gave it shot. I got certified in Stroller Strides & Fit4Baby, and yes, I even got a stroller.. fake it till you make it I say!! At first it felt unnatural, but with time I was fully embraced by this wonderful group of moms, and I could ask all of the questions on motherhood to be. Flash forward to now, and my beautiful girl will be 6 months & I can’t imagine my life without her or Fit4Mom!
Our Fit4Mom community is like no other. Participating in fun, challenging workouts is just the beginning. We are resource, a platform of support and friendship, we are a tribe. No matter what stage of motherhood you’re in, we are here for you. I’m thankful I had this before Harper was born. I’m even more thankful I have it now.
As an instructor, my goal is to promote a positive community and fitness experience among moms and moms to be. I am here to coach you through each workout while guiding you through modifications no matter what stage you’re in- even without baby! I am here to a be a source of support, no matter what challenges you are facing as a mom, or how sleep deprived you may be. I’m excited to continue this journey as an instructor and as a mom and encourage moms and moms to be to check us out! You won’t regret it!
Hi everyone! My name is Jessica Dunn, but I usually go by Jess. I am a mother to one precious boy named Ethan, born July 2016 and a wife to a wonderful husband, named Kelvin. Before I became a mom I worked in the health care field as a certified surgical technologist but would soon discover after the birth of my son that I wanted to be a stay at home mom.
I am a Colorado native who has always been passionate for the outdoors, health and fitness. I have always loved being active. Enjoying many activities such as kickboxing, swimming, hiking, running and lifting weights. Working out has always kept me balanced and gives me energy. Prior to having my baby, I enjoyed going to the gym and lifting weights a lot! When I found out I was pregnant I was afraid my life would never be the same and I would never get time to exercise again. I worked out during my pregnancy, felt great and had an amazing overall experience so after I had my son I couldn't wait to find something I could do to stay fit, and not have to worry about leaving my baby. I was then introduced to Stroller Strides in September 2016 and have been hooked ever since! For me Stroller Strides offers a combination of everything that I was looking for! The motivation to get out of the house with my baby, getting exercise, enjoying the beautiful weather of colorado, and most of all the support and friendship of other moms going through the same things I was. Becoming a mom and being a mom is tough! And no one understands that quite like other moms! I found myself attending Stroller Strides as much as I could and 6 months later I was presented with the opportunity to join the FIT4MOM mission and become a instructor. Even though this is my first experience as a fitness instructor, I am beyond EXCITED to be working with the FIT4MOM program. Stroller Strides has been a life-saver for me ever since I became a new mom! It is not just an amazing workout where I can get my sweat on, it is also a wonderful support system where I get to make new friends as well! I feel so blessed to have found such an amazing village to surround myself and my son with. I am looking forward to embarking on this adventure, guiding other moms through a great workout that will leave them feeling energized and confident the rest of the day. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to work with with this company as a Stroller Strides instructor and building lifelong friendships with all you amazing mommas!
Hello! I’m Kendra, Mama to one year old Heston, and wife to Kelly. When my son was 5 months old I felt an overwhelming desire to stay home with him, alongside an equal desire to return to an active lifestyle. I was the first of my family and friends to become a mom and I was desperate to find a community of other moms. When I became part of the Stroller Strides community I knew I had found my tribe. I found such acceptance and joy in the community that I knew the environment was something I wanted to be part of. I was so excited to find a group of moms who not only enjoyed each other’s company but were on a mission to be an example of a healthy lifestyle for our children’s generation.
I have been so fortunate to become part of the amazing Fit4Mom North Metro Denver team. I am lucky to have the opportunity to provide the support and joy that was available to me when I became a member of the Fit4Mom community. I look forward to getting to know every current and future member of our group!more
Hi there! I’m Rachel and I am so excited to be a part of the FIT4MOM team. My husband, Jon, and I have 2 boys, Miles (March ‘16) and Shane (January ‘13). We also have two of the best cats in the world, Henry and Holly. I have been a megafan of FIT4MOM since 2013. As a new part-time working mom, it was hard to find my place in the new and overwhelming world of motherhood. I didn’t have time or energy to connect with work colleagues or old friends because I was a new mom and I didn’t have as many options to meet other moms because I was working. I craved connection, a good workout, and activities I could do with my son. Along came Stroller Strides, then Run Club, and then Body Back. I found my people! All of the FIT4MOM programming has grown with my family and me over the last 5 years. I am beyond proud to be a part of this incredibly supportive and compassionate group.
Health and fitness have always been an important outlet and a passion of mine. Some of my favorite activities outside of FIT4MOM are running, hiking, and yoga. My careers have been in education, working with children from preschool through high school. This is also my fifth year as an Educator for Girls Leadership where I facilitate workshops with girls and their parents, teaching relationship skills such as knowing who you are, what you believe, and how to express it in order to create change in your world. When we become moms we gain so much and our hearts grow to the point of explosion with love for our babies. Sometimes we feel like it’s all too easy to lose ourselves in the process. The connection and support that FIT4MOM provides for moms in all phases of life is an incredible gift that I hope reaches all moms who need it. I am so grateful that I am able to combine my passions of teaching and fitness as FIT4MOM instructor.
I am certified in Body Back and Run Club and I am honored to be on this journey with you!more
Hi mamas! I’m Christine and mom to Virginia who was born in November 2016. I found Fit4Mom when my daughter was 6 weeks old and as a working mom I can honestly say that this community has become such an integral part of my life. I can make the most of my time with her and still do something for myself.
Running is my favorite way to exercise because in Colorado, and especially in our area, I feel like you can be almost anywhere and find a good place to run. I was so excited to find out about Run Club. After participating in the 5k, 10k and Half marathon training last year I feel really fortunate to be coaching Run Club and to be able to share this amazing experience with all of you!
My personal motto is “Do what you can”. As a any mom can attest to life gets overwhelming. I try my best to tackle every situation whether at work, with a toddler meltdown or running up a giant hill with the attitude that I will do my best, do what I can with that situation and then move forward.
My favorite thing about being a mom is watching my daughter grow, I’m constantly amazed everyday by a new skill or word that she has learned. When I’m not working or coaching my favorite thing to do is relax with with my husband, daughter and our two Welsh corgis.more
Hello! My name is Joanna, but you can call me Jo. I am mom to Adalynn (Addy) who was born in 2016. My favorite thing about being a mom is experiencing childhood again through the eyes of my daughter, and discovering the things she is passionate about. It’s amazing to watch their personalities shine through!
My personal motto is one step at a time. I have a love for fitness, and coupled with my passion for helping moms take care of themselves, I’m able to design fun workouts for all moms. I love watching other moms become more confident in their abilities; I love hearing about everyone’s different journey through motherhood; and I love making new friends. Most importantly, I believe that you should always leave your workout feeling better than you did before!
Personally, I love weight lifting and running. The farthest I’ve run to date is a half-marathon, but my favorite distance is probably a 10k. When I’m not working (or working out!), I enjoy reading, writing, word puzzles, astrology, and of course spending time with my family.I’m a certified personal trainer through NASM, and I enjoy helping people learn to move better in order to avoid injury in day-to-day life. I believe in empowering moms to feel healthy and strong while connecting with their little ones; I know firsthand what it’s like to be isolated as a new mom, and to feel like you’ve lost yourself in motherhood. This is why you will be welcomed with open arms in my classes, and why you will want to stay forever and ever! We see you, mama, and we get you.
Hello hello! My name is Julie Evans and I'm one of your Thorton/Westminster Play Group Captains. I'm married to Matty and we welcomed our daughter, Gracie, in April, 2014. I've lived in Colorado since I was 9 and can't image living anywhere else - except maybe Spain. I have a degree in Anthropology and archaeology is my passion. It's difficult to take off for weeks at a time to excavate so I stay home with my daughter for now. She's so much fun that I would stay home with her forever if I could!
When I first had Grace I was living in a new area and had zero friends near by. It was a lonely place to be in. I took Grace to story time, tumble classes and a hundred other things trying to find other moms to hang out with! Let me be the first to tell you, some mom groups are not easy to join. In April of 2017 I was introduced to Stroller Strides. This was a game-changer, my friends. I just kept going back. I was working out my neglected body while having fun, meeting new friends, setting a good example for my daughter, and all while giving her social opportunities. Fit4Mom really is something unique. It changed my life and there's no turning back now. I'm honored to be a part of this amazing team!
Greetings mamas, my name is Kelsey and I'm your Lafayette Playgroup Captain! I am mama to Newton who was born in September, 2017. I live in Thornton with my husband Derek, our baby boy Newt, kitty Gracie, and doggy Jane Marie! I am a full time stay at home mama and a full time self employed artist (Kelsey's Starstuff) - I make nature curiosity encased pottery in my basement studio. I am a total bookworm, a Hufflepuff, and an astrophysics nerd!
Fit4Mom is the best thing I have found since having my baby boy! I found myself completely mama friendless after having him and needed to connect with other moms. I was regularly attending a breastfeeding support group, even after I didn't need it anymore, just to talk to other moms. That's when I discovered Fit4Mom!! Now I am never looking back, I absolutely LOVE this tribe and am soooo excited to be a part of it!
Hi mamas! My name is Rachel and I'm so excited to be part of this amazing community. My husband, Mike and I have a son, Grayson, who was born in January of 2018. I started off participating in Stroller Strides and Run Club and now that I'm back at work, I decided to be a Run Club coach!
As a native Coloradan, I love being outdoors! When I'm not working you can find me somewhere up in the mountains on a hike. Before I got pregnant, I tried to stay fairly active. Getting back into a good workout routine is still a challenge but setting goals for myself is what motivates me! In the next year, it's my goal to do a Half Ironman!
The one thing I never thought I would do as a mom, I have to say, was use the Nose Frida! I thought it was gross and swore I'd never use it. Now, I have to say that thing is a life saver!!
My favorite thing about being a mom is watching Grayson experience things for the first time. He is so curious and it's fun to see how he interacts with new things!
