What do I need to bring to class?
It's a lot getting out of the house with tiny humans, sometimes even remembering shoes is tough! The critical things to bring are yourself, your child and a stroller or baby carrier. Beyond that, you'll want to bring plenty of water, towel or yoga mat and some snacks or small toys for your little one(s). Sunscreen is important for outdoor classes, and because Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre are traveling classes, comfortable walking or running shoes and exercise attire are great.
I just had a baby, when can I join Stroller Strides and/or Stroller Barre?
Congratulations, mama! We can't wait to have you in class. You can begin attending classes following your doctor's clearance to begin exercising. This typically happens at your your six week postpartum appointment for vaginal births or eight weeks for cesarean sections.
Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! We encourage expectant moms to continue to exercise throughout pregnancy with physician approval. Instructors are qualified to lead our professionally-designed pre- and postnatal fitness programs that follow the latest American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) guidelines. We can modify any exercise that poses a challenge as you progress through your pregnancy.
While we're on the subject, here are a few ways in which exercise during pregnancy has been proven beneficial.
Prenatal exercise improves or increases the following:
Higher fatigue threshold
Posture and biomechanics
Self-esteem, sense of well-being
Can I try a class before I join?
Your first Stroller Strides class is always FREE! This allows you to see first hand if Stroller Strides or Stroller Barre is a good fit for you and your little one. If you sign up here and create a profile, your first FREE class is automatically gifted to your account and you can come try us out!
How will I know if the class location has changed due to weather?
In the case of inclement weather, outdoor class locations may change. We will notify anyone enrolled in our class via our website with an email or text at least one hour before class starts. We will also post updates on our private Facebook groups.
Do I need to be a runner to attend these classes?
Absolutely not! Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre classes are for moms of ALL fitness levels. We meet for a warm up, then power walk, jog or run to each exercise station. You can exercise at the pace you feel most comfortable.
At what age can my baby be in a jogging stroller?
As a general guideline, when your baby can hold his or her head up, they can safely ride in a jogging stroller. However, we suggest that you follow your own stroller manufacturer’s guidelines. You can use a head roll and bolster to make your baby even more secure. Many jogging strollers are equipped with shock absorbers and recline features, making them suitable for use when your child is quite young. Also, most jogging strollers have car seat adapters so even the itty bitty ones can ride along in their car seat,
Do I need a jogging stroller for the workout?
Jogging strollers are not required. As long as the stroller is sturdy, not prone to tipping and can safely hold all children strapped into their seats for the duration of class, it will work just fine!
My baby doesn't like being in the stroller for too long, how will I get a good workout?
We're all moms here and we know that babies don't always cooperate as we'd like, so don't worry if your baby becomes fussy during class! Our classes are designed to keep the kids moving and engaged by incorporating songs, games and various props to keep them entertained. With that said, if you need to change, feed or console your baby, please feel free to do so. You're in good company! Kids will have good and bad days and we understand that. The kiddos quickly learn the new routine of "Mommy's hour" and learn a few things during our workout, too!
How old does my baby need to be to start classes?
Children of any age can join you at Stroller Strides or Stroller Barre as long as they can be safely buckled in the stroller for the duration of class. We recommend waiting until you have received medical clearance from your physician, usually around 6-8 weeks postpartum. Always consult with your physician before starting this or any other kind of exercise program.
What do I do if my baby gets fussy during class?
First step: breathe. Sometimes babies cry. You will be in a group full of moms with their kids. We've all been there and we all get it. You'll always be able to do what you need to take care of your little one and, of course, we try to keep things moving so that the kids stay happy and entertained.
What if I need to feed my baby during class?
A hungry baby waits for no woman... we’ve got you, mama! If you need to change, nurse or console your baby, please do so. Your instructor will make sure to provide you with comfort and discretion during class.
Can my older children walk along or ride their bike during class?
Safety is our first priority, so we do not allow children to be out of the stroller during class, regardless of age.
Can I bring my kids to Body Back?
Sorry, but Body Back is for mamas only. This class is designed for women 18 and up without children present.
Can I do Body Back if I am pregnant?
Body Back workouts are not intended for prenatal exercise and we do not recommend following the Body Back meal plans during pregnancy. If you become pregnant during the course of your Body Back session, please notify your instructor. We offer Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre as appropriate prenatal exercise programs.
What do I need to bring to class?
We ask that clients come to Body Back classes with plenty of water, a yoga mat or towel and a resistance band. Resistance bands are provided to new clients on their first day of class. We also recommend bringing a small towel to wipe your sweat and we promise, you WILL sweat!
What is the workout like?
Body Back is a high-intensity interval training class delivered in one of three ways: Rounds, Circuit or Travel. We cycle through Cardio, Strength and Core segments for a full-body workout that provides a significant caloric afterburn for enhanced results. Instructors begin each class by setting a specific intention for clients and end class with a relaxing meditation tailored specifically to moms.
Do I need to be in great shape to participate in class?
Not at all. We have all fitness levels in our classes. But, we will warn you ... these classes are designed to be tough! Our goal is to deliver a workout that will challenge clients at any fitness level. It might not be easy, but we promise results by the end of your 8 week session if you put in the work!
What makes Body Back different from a gym?
Body Back is so much more than just another HIIT workout. Body Back delivers a community of moms where you will find support, encouragement, camaraderie and lifelong friendships. Through education and ample resources, we help you create a healthier home and more active lifestyle for your family. We believe you should be empowered to push past your perceived limits and find inner strength while building physical strength. We strive to build you up and put you first to create your best you.
Do I need to pre-register or can I just show up?
We require pre-registration for Body Back Transformation sessions to ensure your spot in the class. Body Back sessions sell out quickly, so register early to secure your spot.
We recommend pre-registration for Body Back drop-in classes so your instructor knows to expect you and can contact you if there are any changes to the class. We require a minimum number of clients to be enrolled in order to offer Body Back classes.
What if I have not run since before I had my baby or if I have never run at all?
You are welcome here! Our Run Club coaches will be delighted to lead you toward running your first mile. Whether it is your first mile ever, or your first mile post-baby, Run Club is appropriate for all levels.
Can I bring my child with me to Run Club?
You bet! Run Club is stroller friendly. Any child that joins you for Run Club should be safely secured in a stroller.
What should I bring to Run Club?
Running shoes and water are essential. A yoga mat or towel will be helpful for our final stretch.

What if I need to cancel my membership?
Cancellations may be requested by filling out or Membership Change Form.
Memberships may be cancelled on accounts in good standing with at least one month's membership paid in advance of the cancellation. No memberships may be cancelled during a membership hold. Recurring memberships require a 3-month minimum commitment or a $25 early cancellation fee will be applied. Cancellations require one month's notice prior to the start of the next billing cycle.
What does my Membership include?
Your membership includes unlimited classes (or two classes per week for the twice weekly membership option) at any of the FIT4MOM North Metro Denver locations. An orange resistance band, yellow mini band and FIT4MOM key chain are included with the registration fee.
Can I bring family or friends who are visiting to class with me?
Visitors are welcome to come to class FREE of charge! If you have an extended stay guest who will participate longer than one week, they will be subject to the drop-in per class charge. All visitors must sign our waiver in order to participate.
How do I place my membership on hold or cancel it?
To make changes to your membership (including holds and cancellations), please complete the Membership Change Form.
Hold: Injured or planning an extended trip? Holds may be applied for up to six months once per 12-month period. Holds must be requested at least two days prior to the account's bill date. Auto-billing will resume as usual after the hold period has ended. Additional holds may be placed on an a membership on a case by case basis, including reasons due to pregnancy complications, maternity leave, or other medical reasons.
Cancellation: Memberships may be cancelled on accounts in good standing with at least one month's membership paid in advance of the cancellation. No memberships may be cancelled during a membership hold. Recurring memberships require a 3-month minimum commitment or a $25 early cancellation fee will be applied. Cancellations require one month's notice prior to the start of the next billing cycle. No refunds will be given for dues already paid. This membership is not transferable to another person or anywhere outside the North Metro Denver franchise. Once a membership is cancelled, a $30 reactivation fee will be due to re-enroll.
When can I place my membership on hold or cancel it?
Holds can start any day of your billing cycle. Our system auto-prorates your membership fees upon release of your hold. There are no refunds for payments that have already been paid. To avoid payment, all requests need to be received by submitting a Membership Change Form at least 2 days prior to the next billing date.

How do I change my return date on my hold?
You can return from your hold on any day of the month. Email notification to firstname.lastname@example.org is required at least 24 hrs prior to your return. If you attend class without notification, you will automatically be charged the hold attendance rate with the credit card on file.

What is the fee to place a membership on hold?
Can I attend classes when my membership is on hold?
When your membership is on hold, you may attend classes at the drop-in rate of $18/class (Strides) or $20/class (Barre).
What is the enrollment fee for a membership?
For Stroller Strides/Stroller Barre monthly memberships:
There is a $50 enrollment fee for all new monthly memberships. If you sign up for membership on the first day of class, the enrollment fee is discounted to $25.
If you cancel your membership and then wish to rejoin, a $30 reactivation fee applies.
How do I update my credit card on file?
To update your credit card on file:

Update the information
Be sure to delete the old credit card on file
If your monthly dues payment fails and you do not respond to our emails to update your credit card info, your membership will be cancelled.

Is my membership transferable to another franchise location?
Unfortunately not. Memberships are only valid for the franchise where they were purchased. If you move to an area outside of our franchise, you will need to cancel your current membership and sign up for a membership at the new franchise. We encourage you to contact the franchisee where you are moving to and let them know you have a current FIT4MOM membership at another franchise!
