March 2021 Mom of the Month

Kelli A.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY!

My husband, Patrick, and I are the proud parents of Logan (3) and Camden (2) as well as two dogs, Lady and Toby

WHERE ARE YOU ORIGINALLY FROM?

Fort Collins, Colorado

WHAT IS/WAS YOUR CAREER?

Before becoming a full time mom, I worked as a legal assistant for 12 years

HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT FIT4MOM AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER?

I found out about Fit4Mom from a friend from high school when my oldest was 4 months old, about 3.5 years ago

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT FIT4MOM?

My favorite part about Fit4Mom is the community of amazing mamas and kiddos who accept me and my boys exactly as we are. I always leave feeling better than when I arrived and that has a lot to do with the dynamic workouts but it has even more to do with the love I receive from this incredible group of women.

WHAT HAS INSPIRED YOU THE MOST SINCE BEING A PART OF FIT4MOM?

While my Fit4mom tribe has always inspired me, I have been blown away with how this group has adapted during the pandemic, providing support, assistance, laughter, and love to all of our members and helping us all feel connected even when we can’t always be together. I truly don’t know how I would have navigated through this unprecedented time without Fit4mom.

WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT HAS SURPRISED YOU ABOUT MOTHERHOOD?

Motherhood surprises me daily but the thing that surprised me the most is how strong and capable I really am. I am incredibly proud of the mother I am and the mother I’m striving to be.

WHAT ARE 3 OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS?

3 of my favorite things are: cooking, reading and drinking coffee in a quiet house

WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST MOMMY MOMENT SO FAR?

So far I’m most proud of breastfeeding each of my babies for a full year. That journey was so much harder and more emotional than I expected and I wanted to give up a million times. I’m so grateful that I was able to breastfeed and I’m so proud of myself for preserving even when I wanted to give up.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEW MOTHER?

The advice I would give to a new mom would be to trust your instincts when it comes to parenting. You are exactly the mother your baby needs and you’re doing a great job even when it doesn’t feel like it.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO ADD?

I would just like to thank Fit4mom for giving me the confidence to thrive in motherhood
