Meet our Village Manager!
EMILY B.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY!
I am mom to Dani (8) and Will (4). They are my world! My husband, Steven is my best friend and works so hard for our family. We have a lot going on in our house with one dog, one cat, six fish, and an injured butterfly as pets. We love being outdoors, and love staying busy all day long with activities, sports, and fun new adventures!
WHERE ARE YOU ORIGINALLY FROM?
I was born and raised in Colorado!
WHAT IS/WAS YOUR CAREER?
I have a history secondary education degree, but never really used it. I love having flexible jobs, so that I can be a stay at home mom!
HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT FIT4MOM AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER?
I found out through a mom at my daughter’s preschool, and now we have become great friends. I went to my first class in April of 2022, and the rest is history! I just wish I found FIT4MOM sooner!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT FIT4MOM?
The community! These mamas have become amazing friends! They will hold you up through everything!
WHAT HAS INSPIRED YOU THE MOST SINCE BEING A PART OF FIT4MOM?
Mamas are amazing! Mamas are strong! Mamas can do anything! Seeing other mamas succeed in their goals always inspires me!
WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT HAS SURPRISED YOU ABOUT MOTHERHOOD?
There is always something to look forward to. There is no need to be sad when a fun or exciting stage is over. I think I thought toddlerhood and preschool years were going to be the most fun because children learn so much so quickly. But your kids keep learning and keep being fun, just in different ways. You go from them learning how to hold a toy to waking to singing their ABC’s to learning how to ride a bike to learning a new skill at gymnastics to driving a car. Your kids will always need you even when they think they don’t. I had to become a mom, and have my kids grow a little to realize this.
WHAT ARE 3 OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS?
Coffee, wine, hiking
WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST MOMMY MOMENT SO FAR?
There is no one particular thing, but it makes me so proud when I get a compliment from somebody saying that my kids are kind. Whether it’s from a teacher, friend, or stranger, I love when I hear that my kids are nice to others. It’s the biggest compliment I can get as a mama.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEW MOTHER?
Mama gut. Listen to it. Everybody has different ways of raising their kids, and you have to do what’s right for your kids and your family!
